Today I published a substack on the recent election in Ohio:
I'm furious. We must be praying fervently to retake Ohio and the rest of the country.
I will go live here on Locals a bit after 5pm ET tonight to pray for better outcomes on the abortion issue going forward.
May the Lord have mercy.
The hardest part of getting to the gym and achieving results for me has always been consistency and the key to consistency is motivation. Over the years I've developed quite a bit as a lifter and recently I tried something new that I think you guys will benefit a lot from if you have a struggle with motivation in the gym.
It's called Reverse Pyramid Training, and the principle is that you start your lift with the hardest set you will do that day.
When I first started lifting, I learned to lift in a 10-8-5-3 progression. This means that you go to do an exercise and your first set consists of 10 reps, your second consists of 8 reps, your third consists of 5 reps, and your fourth consists of 3 reps, finishing pretty close to failure. This is a very effective way to learn how to lift weights and build strength, especially if you are consistent. The problem becomes as you get older and have more time constraints and you reach more strength plateaus, this begins to be somewhat boring.
I've been...
Over the last couple weekends I spun up a little side project, Peppy Memes: https://peppymemes.com/
The current gif providers are hopelessly woke and owned by big tech. I figured we need an alternative.
It's very "V1" so please send me feedback, bugs, etc. I'm developing it in my free time (limited) and paying for hosting etc out of pocket.
I'd be especially grateful if you uploaded all your favorite pepes, memes, and gifs.
Thank you!
The Jewish Tunnels this week has sparked a bit of research.
I'm not sure where I'm going with it but I want to share the running document before it gets memory-holed:
